Sure Could Go For Some Wings…

It is Tuesday, November 3rd. Not much going on in the world. Looks like it will be a slow news day. So I thought I might as well write a wing review!

I am always on the hunt for new wing spots in the Twin Cities and I found one last weekend that is absolutely in my top five. B.A.D Wingz in NE MPLS on Central Ave is the real-deal, friends.

I have heard nothing but great things about this spot since they opened inside the NE Glam Doll location in September but haven’t had a chance to try them, mainly because I rarely leave the house these days. Then on Friday night my best friend Dylan in Denver surprised me with Door Dashing a couple orders of them to my place.

The first thing I noticed was how damn good the order smelled. The driver even said to me, “These smell so good man. I am jealous.” Had we not been in a pandemic I would have invited him in to crush some wings with me. Sharing is caring, friends.

The wings looked even better than they smelled. They are big, gorgeous whole style wings, meaning the flat and drummy are still attached. I know that is a problem for some wingers, but not me. I have no problem ripping them apart. Adds to experience.

I wish I had a picture of the look on my face after my first bite. It felt like an out of body experience, like I just saw God or something. The wings were big and meaty, cooked to perfection. The sauce (I went with Buffalo Soldier) was so good I wanted to baptize myself with it.

So…as you can probably tell, I am a huge fan. B.A.D. Wingz is now an immediate mainstay in my wing rotation. I perused their website and they have a really funky menu as well. Street corn, jalapeno cheese curds, chicken and waffles, among other great looking stuff. They even have plant-based wings for all my vegetarian/vegan pals out there.

Put B.A.D. Wingz in your mix, fellow wingers. If you need any more convincing just check out their awesome Instagram page and drool. In fact, I suggest getting some going tonight. Perfect comfort food on this otherwise uneventful Tuesday, November 3rd.
